Achievements

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN:

           The students and staff of this Institute participated whole heartedly in the Swaach Bharat Abhiyan initiated by our revered Prime Minister, Sh. NarendraModi and this campaign was carried forward to ensure cleanliness all around the Institute Campus.The students of Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Chandigarh remained engaged in their online classes arranged on daily basis during the month of May, 2021 and June, 2021 under the guidance of their respective trade Instructors and all these details were monitored by the Supervisory Staff of each Department, besides, strict vigilance was kept by the CSDM, Chandigarh to ensure the delivery of standardized teaching to the students as per their syllabus.

 

CONDUCT OF ON-LINE CLASSES

The students of Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Chandigarh remained engaged in their online classes arranged on daily basis during the month of April, 2021 under the guidance of their respective trade instructors and all these details were monitored by the Supervisory Staff of each Wing besides, strict vigilance is being kept by the CSDM, Chandigarh to ensure the delivery of standardized teachings to the students as per their syllabus.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has also made available extensive online resources through the Directorate General of Training for those students who are enrolled in industrial training institutes and who are unable to attend classes due to the nationwide lockdown.

As part of the initiative, for ITI students and trainers, the complete curriculum is available through video lessons, question banks, mock tests and e-learning content through the Bharat Skills portal, also available as a mobile friendly application.

The National Skill Development Corporation has also rolled out its e-skill portal where it is offering 400 courses in English, Hindi and nine regional languages. 

A bouquet of e-courses are available ranging from basic employability enhancing courses such as impression management, customer services, digital and financial literacy to trade-oriented courses for various sectors.

                                    WORLD HERITAGE DAY CELEBRATED:

World Heritage Day was celebrated on April 18, 2021 at Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women, Chandigarh through virtual conferencing to promote cultural heritage. This day gives us an opportunity to conserve and preserve our heritage culture as they have an outstanding universal value.

The Principal of the Institute suggested the students as to how to celebrate World Heritage Day during the Covid-19 era:

1.            Read about various monuments and sites online.

2.            Read about these monuments and sites in newspapers and magazines, you can even watch them on television channels or watch documentaries on YouTube.

3.            Make a poster of what aspects of your heritage you admire and are inspired from.

4.            Have a zoom meet with local and foreign experts and personalities to learn more about the heritage of others. Invite people to do the same.

              5.            Make a PowerPoint presentation of your heritage and share with others.

6.            Collaborate with other organizations to improve awareness about this day and to instill a feeling of pride for one's heritage.

WORLD EARTH DAY CELEBRATED:

 

World Earth Day was celebrated by the Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women, Chandigarh on April 22, 2021 to show support for environmental protection through virtual online discussions by the Class Incharge with their students. Earth Day is meant to increase awareness of environmental problems, but it is also becoming a popular time for many communities to gather together to clean up litter, plant trees or simply reflect on the beauty of nature. In a virtual address, the Class Incharge desired their students to celebrate this Day from home by adopting the following easy ideas:-

  1. Plant something
  2. Ride your bike
  3. Buy reusable bags
  4. Use a refillable water bottle
  5. Unsubscribe to catalogs
  6. Spend some time in park outside your house observing COVID-19 precautionary measures, as announced by the Govt.

 

ISSUE OF CERTIFICATESOF APPRECIATION:

 

In order to encourage the staff and students for better participation in the online classes as well as different programmes, the CSDM, Chandigarh organized online extra-curricular activities under PMKVY-3.0 Scheme of Govt. of India.Mrs.Abhishikha Sharma, Instructor in CRM Domestic (Non Voice) was declared as Winner of extra-curricular activities.She was adjudged as the Best Instructor during the online extra-curricular activities.

 

Similarly, Ms.Shivani and Ms.Rukmani, trainees of CRM Domestic (Non Voice) were also adjudged as the Best Students and were declared as Winners of online extra-curricular activities organized under PMKVY-3.0 Scheme of Govt. of India.Certificates of Appreciation were issued to them in recognition to their extra-ordinary efforts in getting the activities completed during the session 2020-21.

 

ALLOTMENT OF 80 SEATS BY CSDM, CHANDIGARHFOR START OF NEW CRASH COURSE ON “COVID 19WARRIORS”

            Under PMKVY Scheme of Govt. of India, new crash courses on Covid 19 have been started with allotment of 80 seats for the current year. Enrolment for the first batch of RPL Course has been completed and final nod to start this course is awaited from HSSC, New Delhi. The course is to start in the first week of July, 2021.                              

 

HANDING OVER THE DUAL CHARGE OF DUTIES OF THE PRINCIPAL, GOVT. I.T.I., SECTOR 28, CHANDIGARH TO SH. RAJAN DOGRA, PRINCIPAL, GOVT. I.T.I. FOR WOMEN, SECTOR 11, CHANDIGARH.

          Keeping in view the capabilities and expertise in handling teaching as well as administrative works, the Chandigarh Administration handed over the dual charge of the Principal, Govt. I.T.I., Sector 28, Chandigarh to Sh. RajanDogra, Principal, Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Sector 11, Chandigarh.  On getting the dual charge of the post of Principal, Govt. I.T.I., Sector 28, Chandigarh, daily schedule of the Principal, Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Sector 11, Chandigarh became very hectic and he has been discharging his dual duties with utmost sincerity and hard work.

AWARD OF FELICITATION CERTIFICATE

                        The worthy Secretary, Technical Education, UT, Chandigarh felicitated Shri RajanDogra, Principal of Govt. ITI for Women, Chandigarh for successfully conducting ICT training for the deputed U.T. Administration employees at this Institute by engaging Trainers from Govt. ITI for Women, Chandigarh. The Nodal Officer, Mrs.Anuka, Group Instructor from this Institute  and  the Trainers – namely, Mrs.Manpreet Kaur, Mrs.Mukta, Mrs.Gaganpreet Kaur Sidhu, Mrs.Navpreet Kaur, Mrs.Bhawna, Mrs.Poonam Saini and Mrs.Akanksha Sharma were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the worthy Director, Technical Education, UT, Chandigarh at a small function organized by the Department at Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Chandigarh. As the trainers have now been engaged in Admission duties at the Institute, as such, the ICT Training has been halted for two months period and will be resumed in due course.

 

PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR JOINT ONLINE

ADMISSION IN BOTH THE I.T.Is. OF CHANDIGARH.

 

                                    New online admission process in both the I.T.Is of Chandigarh has been started w.e.f. 15th July, 2021 and a large number of admission forms are being received online by both the Institutes.  The process of admission will be closed by 10th August, 2021 after displaying of final admission lists with allocated Trades of the Institutes on the Notice Board of the respective Institute.  Online Counseling dates have been fixed from 21st August, 2021 to 23rd August, 2021 and dates for the Physical Counseling have been fixed from 24th August,2021 to 27th August,2021 it will be conducted jointly for both the Institutes at Govt. I.T.I., Sector 28, Chandigarh under the supervision of a Joint Admission Committee.

COMPLETION OF ONE YEAR OF TRANSFORMATIVE REFORMS UNDER NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY-2020

 

On the completion of one year of transformative reforms under “National Education Policy-2020”, a digital event was organized at the Institute on 29th July, 2021 in which students, who had joined their classes till that day and all staff members participated in person at the premises of the Institute.  Rest of the students who have not so far joined the Institute, attended this session through their own devices from their places.  Shri NarendraModi, Prime Minister of India  while addressing LIVE on the completion of one year of  National Education Policy-2020, broadly spoke about the importance of integration of skills at an early age increasing its acceptability and aspiration value amongst the nation’s youth and ensuring their holistic learning and development. Worthy Prime Minister explained in detail that the main objective of the National Education Policy is to make India a Global Knowledge Super Power in 21st Century.  The Prime Minister further informed that under this Policy, India aims to increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education including vocational education and aims to add 3.5 crore new seats to higher education institutions. The programme was found to be full of knowledge and everyone was fully satisfied and appreciated the efforts of the Prime Minister in flourishing this Education Policy, which is bound to change the face of India.

 

CONDUCT OF FINAL ASSESSMENT  OF NEW RPL CRASH COURSE ON “COVID 19 WARRIORS”       

Under PMKVY Scheme of Govt. of India, the first new crash course on Covid 19 ended on 23rd July, 2021 and the final Assessment of the trainees of this Batch was conducted on 28th July, 2021 through HSSC, New Delhi.  The Health Sector Skill Council, New Delhi had deputed Examiners from a Third Party Agency to conduct the assessment in a very transparent way. New batch of fresh skilling namely, “Basic Care Support” is being launched shortly at this Institute for which enrolment of students has already started.

CELEBRATION OF TEACHER’S DAY

 

            The students of this Institute celebrated Teacher’s Day on 4th September, 2021 as 5th September, 2021 happened to be on Saturday (Holiday) in honor of Dr. SarvapalliRadhakrishnan. All the teachers and students gathered in the conference room of the Institute to present the gratitude to the great personality of India who became President of India in 1962 and remained as such till 1967. This day is also celebrated to thank the teachers who push the students to attain success and understand their problems without any need to tell them. The Principal of the Institute in his speech informed the students that teachers are like magicians who use their magic wands to help them make their lives easier and more fruitful. The most important thing we must follow is to revere and value our incredible teachers. They have been our guiding spirits and role models and we are grateful to them. A small cultural program was also organized on this occasion by the students. During the conduct of this function, full precautions were taken to combat COVID-19.

 

PLACEMENT DRIVES

 

            On 24th August ,2021, Placement Agencies namely Job Hub, Mohali and BSCJ Enterprises, Mohali visited this Institute to select our students for  their placements in different organizations/Industry. In all, 55 students were shortlisted/selected for different profiles in Airtel, Paytm, IDFC Bank, Flipkart, E-clerx etc. at a minimum monthly salary of Rs. 9000/- – 13000/-.

 

     Another placement drive was organized on 17th September 2021 by the Placement Agency Creation Infotech, Sector 34, Chandigarh in which 93 students were selected/shortlisted for various job profiles such as office Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Front-office Executive, Graphics, CRM, Telesales. Office coordinator, Computer Operator, Sales, HR Internship, Counsellor, Web designing, Office Assistant, etc. on an average monthly salary of Rs. 6000/- -10,000/-

 

   Another reputed company - ‘Winsome Knitwear Group, Mohali - conducted interviews during a placement drive on 20th September, 2021 at the campus of this Institute and 16 students were selected/shortlisted for placement in their company. Firstly,  the students will be put on internship @Rs. 8777/-  and on completion of their on-job training on the automatic machines, their selection will be confirmed.

 

The students of Stenography English, Stenography Hindi and Stenography Punjabi were deputed to attend an Apprentice Mela on 04-10-2021 at Govt. ITI, Sector 28, Chandigarh. The students were informed about the offices/organizations/Industry where they can be adjusted as apprentices. After having been attracted by the speeches, a large number of students filled up their registration forms which will be processed by the relevant companies and after making selections from these registered candidates, necessary offer letters will be issued to them for joining the apprentice training at their respective offices, etc.

A reputed company - ‘Winsome Knitwear Group, Mohali - conducted interviews during a placement drive during October, 2021 at the campus of this Institute and 16 students were selected/shortlisted for placement in their company. Firstly, the students will be put on internship @ Rs. 8777/- and on completion of their on-job training on the automatic machines, their selection will be confirmed.

 

 

 

 

 

VACCINATION STATUS AND OBSERVANCE OF COVID PROTOCOLS

        All the students and staff members of this Institute have since been vaccinated with 1st dose of Covishield or Covaxin Vaccines and in most of the cases, where the prescribed gap period has ended, they have gone for 2nd dose of Covishield or Covaxin Vaccines. All staff members have been directed to deposit with office their vaccination Certificates as proof for having themselves vaccinated. Students below 18 years age are still to be vaccinated.  As soon as the Govt. will send the new instructions for their vaccination, the institute will follow those instructions immediately and get them vaccinated. It is hereby informed that this Institute is continuously following the instructions/ guidelines, as issued by Govt. of India and Chandigarh Administration from time to time and taking all the precautions to combat COVID-19.

AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV CAMPAIGN AND EXHIBITIONS ESSAY

 

                An intensive countrywide campaign on AzadiKaAmritMahotsav is being organized which is focusing on citizen participation to make it a 'Janandolan', where small changes, at the local level, will add up to significant national gains.

                           Various freedom programs with the name of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav are also being organized across the country by the Government of India to commemorate the freedom fighters. These programs include photo exhibitions, moving vans, various completions, etc which depict the contribution of freedom fighters. In some places 'AzadiKaAmritMahotsav Exhibitions' displayed in two parts - the freedom movement before the arrival of Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom struggle led by Gandhiji. The contribution of LalaLajpatRai, LokmanyaTilak, and Bipin Chandra Pal, famously known as Lal-Bal-Pal before the arrival of Gandhiji, was depicted through historical photographs. Along with this, his role in the movement of other revolutionaries was also shown. These include Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, Mangal Pandey, Raja Rammohan Roy, Swami Dayanand, Swami Vivekananda and Kartar Singh Sarabha. The students at this Institute also organized an Essay Writing Competition in which a large number of students participated. More programs are scheduled to take place for celebrations during the coming months.

OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK – 2021

The Vigilance Awareness Week – 2021 was observed from 26-10-2021 at the Institute, as per details of weekly activities mentioned in the Central Vigilance Commissioner letter dated 1-09-2021, which included various competition, lectures on vigilance awareness of the staff and students.  The Principal of the Institute explained the students and staff not to give money in lieu of getting their official works done from office.  In case, anyone demands money, treating it as corruption, they should immediately inform the Vigilance office on phone and lodge a complaint in this regard immediately.  At a concluding function organized at the Institute, the pledge as prescribed by Central Vigilance Commission was taken by the staff members of the Institute on 26-10-2021.  A Rally was also taken out by the students to make the public aware about the Vigilance Awareness Week.  Necessary Report in this regard was submitted to the Superintendent Vigilance, Chandigarh Administration for information.

 

CONDUCT OF OFF-LINE CLASSES

 

                               The students of Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Chandigarh have started coming to the Institute continuously from November 2021 and continued to attend the offline classes during December 2021 started by the Institute after ensuring the observance of protocol, as announced by the Chandigarh Administration in view of the Covid-19 under the guidance of their respective Trade Instructors and all these details were further monitored by the Supervisory Staff of each Department.

                       

WORLD AIDS DAY

World AIDS Day was observed on 1st December, 2021 to raise awareness and knowledge about HIV and a call to move toward ending the HIV epidemic. It was first celebrated in 1988. Discussions and Debate was organized in the Campus of this Institute in the Seminar Room under the guidance of some Instructors. 

NATIONAL POLLUTION CONTROL DAY

             National Pollution Control Day was celebrated on 2nd December to raise awareness about pollution and its hazardous effects. This day is observed in the memory of the people who lost their lives in the Bhopal gas calamity and is considered as one of the biggest industrial disasters.

ARMED FORCES FLAG DAY AND INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION DAY

           Armed Forces Flag Day is observed across the country on 7th December with the objective of collecting funds from the common people and honour the martyrs and the men who fought with bravery on the borders to safeguard the country's honour.

INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY

                    International Anti-Corruption Day was observed on 9th December, 2021 to highlight how corruption affects health, education, justice, democracy, prosperity, and development.  At a brief function pledge was solemnized by the students and staff to fight for the removal of this disease from the society.

HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

                   Human Rights Day is celebrated on 10th December. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted in 1948 by the United Nations General Assembly. This day is observed to protect the fundamental human rights of all people and their basic human freedom.

CELEBRATION OF NEW YEAR - 2022

           

                                    January is a month of new beginnings and celebrations. January is the first month of the Julian and Gregorian calendars, where the first day of the thirty-one days is defined as New Year’s Eve.  It also has various religious festivals taking place across the country. As per the geographical locations of India, the country is rich in culture and values and festivals frequently take place throughout the year.  The day was celebrated in the Campus at a small gathering after observing protocol of COVID 19 in which the students sang and danced to the Punjabi latest tunes and offered best wishes to each other for the success and prosperity of each member during this coming year.  The students sang songs and participated in Poster Making Competition organized to celebrate the day in a befitting way.

 

CONDUCT OF ASSESSMENT OF PMKVY STUDENTS

                  The assessment of PMKVY students in different courses was conducted by the SSC, IT/ITeS and Healthcare after it was allowed by Govt. of India after COVID-19, when the Institutes were closed. 

 

ALLOTMENT OF NULM COURSES TARGETS BY MC, CHANDIGARH.

 

                    As the PMKVY Scheme under Govt. of India has deferred the allotment of new targets under this Scheme for the time being, on the other hand, the Institute was allotted target of 400 seats in five courses viz. i) Web Developer, ii) Junior Software Developer, iii) Accounts Executive,  iv) General Duty Assistant and v) Customer Relationship Management Domestic Non Voice courses for the session 2022-23. The first batch will start functioning by the end of March, 2022 with 200 seats in five courses of 6 months duration.

 

NATIONAL SKILL INDIA COMPETITION – 2022 – AWARDS PRESENTED

 

                              Worthy Director, Technical Education, UT, Chandigarh awarded Prizes and Appreciation Certificates to the worthy Principal – ShRajanDogra of this Institute and Ms. Bhawna and Ms. Abhishikha, Instructors from this Institute along with others from various other Technical Institutes of U.T., Chandigarh for their wholehearted support and efforts for the successful conclusion of National Skill India Competition – 2022, which was sponsored and conducted under the guidance of Chandigarh Skill Development Mission, Chandigarh.  This function was arranged at U.T. Secretariat on 09-02-2022.

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

                     National Youth Day was celebrated in the Institute on 12th January, 2022 to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. He was a social reformer, philosopher and thinker. The main objective behind the celebration is to propagate the philosophy and the ideals of Swami Vivekananda for which he lived and worked. No doubt he was a great inspiration for all National Youth of India.

In 1984, the Indian Government firstly, declared to celebrate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda i.e. on 12 January as National Youth Day. Since then,  the day is being celebrated as National Youth Day all over the country. The main aim of the Government was to make a better future for the country by motivating the youths through the way of life and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda. It is a great step to wake up the eternal energy of the youths as well as to make the country develop. Speeches and Discussions were made on the life of Swami Vivekananda in which the students and staff participated by observing protocol of COVID-19.

 

 

LOHRI CELEBRATIONS

            Lohri festival was celebrated in the Campus at a small gathering due to COVID 19 after observing all protocols circulated by Govt. of India. A small fire was lit.    It is believed that if one walks around the fire on Lohri, it helps in bringing prosperity. In Punjab, this festival holds special value for the new brides. Many devotees believe that their prayers and concerns will receive an immediate answer and life will be filled with positivity.  The students were told that the Lohri marks the New Year for Punjabi farmers. On this day, the farmers pray and show gratitude for their crops before the harvesting begins and pray to Lord Agni to bless their land with abundance. The students were further made aware of the fact that the discussion of Lohri is incomplete without winter foods that are cooked and celebrated on this day. The traditional Punjabi menu on this day includes sarson da saag and makki di roti, tilkibarfi, gurki roti, makhanekikheer, panjiri, pinni, till laddoo, gondhladoo and more. The students enjoyed well and learnt new things about Lohri.

NATIONAL VOTERS DAY CELEBRATED

                  On 25th January, 2022, National Voter's Day or RashtriyaMatdataDiwas was celebrated to encourage young voters to take part in the political process. In 2011 the first time this day was celebrated to mark Election Commission's Foundation Day.  Since then, every year, this day is celebrated with great enthusiasm.  The students were made aware of the importance of their voting power and urged them to cast their votes in every circumstance to elect a fair and capable Govt.  Slogan Writing and Essay Writing competitions were conducted and prizes were given to the students.

                                    REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATED

On 26th November, 1949 the Indian Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution as the supreme law of the land and replaced the Government of India Act 1935. It came into effect on 26th January, 1950 with a Democratic Government system. This day marks the largest parade that take place at Raj path, Delhi every year.  The students of Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Chandigarh celebrated this day and participated in Debate with great enthusiasm and Group Discussions on the importance of this day were also organized.  The students and staff discussed among each other various clauses of the Constitution.

                             MARTYRS DAY OBSERVED

 

               30th January is celebrated as Martyr's Day or Shaheed Divas every year in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi  India as on 30th January, 1948, the 'Father of Nation' was assassinated.  On this day, speeches on the life of Mahatma Gandhi were given by the eminent personalities, teachers, etc. and the sacrifices made by Mahatma Gandhi were explained to them in detail.  At the end, oath was solemnized to students and staff for the solidarity and faithfulness towards our country.

 

            CELEBRATION OF WOMEN INTERNATIONAL DAY

 

                Keeping in view the growing imbalance in the man-woman ratio, we have to emphasize focusing on celebrating and welcoming girl child. To get rid of vicious social customs of dowry system responsible for killing of girl child, the status of women shall have to be enhanced. The International Women’s Day was celebrated at Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women, Chandigarh on 8th March, 2022. The purpose of celebrating Women’s Day was to raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the students. An essay writing competition on Women’s day was conducted in morning and many of the students had participated for that. After the completion of essay writing, a short program was conducted in the conference hall of our college. At the beginning of program our respected Principal – Sh. RajanDogra gave a short speech on Women’s day. He said, “In India, we habitually celebrate many days which are of social, international, economic, commemorative, or festive importance. Every international day adopts a theme for that year. The concerned authorities formulate the policies according to the theme adopted for the year.

WORLD CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY

 

World Consumer Rights day is celebrated on 15th March every year with an aim to encourage awareness about consumer rights and needs across the world. Consumer rights mean that person who buys the goods, products or services has the right to know about the purity, quality, price and other standards. People are not aware of their rights and therefore this day is celebrated to protect the customers from fraudulent activities in the market.  Consumer Rights Day was celebrated at the Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Chandigarh and in their speeches, the faculty members made the students aware of their consumer rights and duties so that they can make informed decisions.

HOLI CELEBRATIONS AT GITIW, CHANDIGARH

The most colourful and vibrant festival of India – Holi was celebrated with splash of colours at Govt. I.T.I. for Women, Chandigarh. The atmosphere on 9th March 2022 was marked with fun and fervor as students celebrated this vibrant festival. The Institute - following the green and global practices - had arranged for safe organic herbal Holi colours. The academic courtyard was an amalgamation of enthused students who also sprinkled colours on teachers. Holi is the festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil, brought about by the burning and destruction of the evil demon named Holika. So the spirit of Holi taught the students to follow good conduct in life and believe in the virtue of being truthful and honest. The festival marks the end of winter and the abundance of the upcoming spring harvest season. The Principal, Mr.RajanDogra stated that Holi is a festival of new hope, new beginning and new opportunity. He reiterated to forget, forgive and start afresh and advised the students to play only with organic colours. The students welcomed spring, season of hope with songs, dance and bright colours which were the major highlights of this vivid and lively festival. These bright colors are believed to signify energy, life and joy.

MARTYR’S DAY OBSERVED

23rd March is celebrated as Martyr's Day to remember the sacrifice of three extraordinary freedom fighters of India. On March 23, three heroes of our nation were hanged to death, namely Bhagat Singh, ShivaramRajguru, and SukhdevThapar by the British. No doubt, they sacrificed their lives for the welfare of our nation after choosing a different path from Mahatma Gandhi. They are the source of inspiration for the youth of India. At such a young age, they came forward and for independence, they fought with bravery. So, to pay homage to these three revolutionaries, Martyr's Day is observed on the 23rd of March.

Bhagat Singh was born on September 28, 1907, in Lyallpur, Punjab. Bhagat Singh, together with his companions Rajguru, Sukhdev, Azad, and Gopal, fought for the assassination of LalaLajpatRai. Bhagat Singh became an inspiration for youngsters due to his daring adventures. He and his companions, on April 8th, 1929, threw bombs over the Central Legislative Assembly by reading the slogan "InquillabZindabad". And for this, a murder case was charged against them. On March 23rd, 1931, in the Lahore Jail, they were hanged. Their bodies were cremated on the banks of the Sutlej River. 

                NEW IMC ACADEMIC SESSION INAUGURATED UNDER NULM SCHEME

After the allocation of 400 seats in five courses for the current session under NULM Scheme by the M.C., Chandigarh, first batch of 200 students was finally inaugurated at the IMC on 15th March, 2022.  A team of officers from the M.C., Chandigarh visited the Institute and verified and checked the Admission Forms and the physical presence of the students.  Speaking on this occasion, the officers from the M.C., Chandigarh explained in detail about the benefits provided to the students under the Scheme and urged them to remain punctual and gain full knowledge of their courses for securing handsome job-placements.  The Institute thanked the M.C. team for the confidence they have shown in this Institute for imparting excellent training to the trainees, as sponsored by them under the Scheme.

          IMC (SOCIETY) GOVERNING BODY MEETING HELD ON 21-03-2022

              The Governing Body of the IMC Society of this Institute conducted a Meeting in the Campus of the Institute on 21-03-2022 and discussed the all the Items listed in the Agenda of the Meeting.  Worthy Chairman, IMC Society – Sh. Partap K. Aggarwal chaired the Meeting.  Each Item of Agenda was discussed in depth by the Members and their views were expressed by them and ultimately, decisions were taken on all Items with consensus of all members. 

 

RELEASE OF NEW EXPERT LECTURES CALENDAR

AND INDUSTRY VISITS CALENDAR

 

As desired by worthy Chairman, IMC Society during the Governing Body Meeting, the Institute has prepared and  released  new Experts Lecture Calendar and Industry Visits Calendar for the period starting from April, 2022 to March, 2023. Experts from Industry and other Organizations will be invited to deliver their Expert Lectures to the students to keep them updated with the new developments and modern technology, emerging all around.
